The brief
The shower was weak, the grout was stained and the room felt cramped. The owner wanted something light and practical that wouldn't take long to clean.
What we did
The old shower ran off an electric unit that struggled in winter. We replaced it with a thermostatic mixer shower fed from the boiler, with a large rainfall head and a separate hand shower.
To make the room feel bigger, we used large pale tiles from floor to ceiling and a fixed black-framed glass screen instead of a door. The floor is tiled to a slight fall so water always heads for the drain.
A slim vanity unit replaced the pedestal basin, adding storage without taking up floor space, and a mirror cabinet with lighting keeps the worktop clear.
